The Ethical AI Initiative promoted by ECON – European Cooperation Network aims to support the ethical, responsible and human-centred use of artificial intelligence across Europe. The initiative is designed to translate ethical principles, European values and regulatory frameworks into practical guidance, tools and capacity-building actions for organisations, professionals and institutions using or developing AI-based systems.
The initiative is supported by a multidisciplinary pool of experts coordinated within the ECON network, bringing together competences from complementary fields. Through its network-based approach, ECON collaborates with academic institutions, companies, public bodies, civil society organisations and international partners, fostering cross-sectoral dialogue and cooperation. This diversity of profiles ensures an integrated perspective on ethical AI, capable of addressing not only technical and legal aspects, but also cultural, social and human impacts of artificial intelligence systems.
